The permanent trump crisis

Saturday, May 20th, 2017

At a gut level, the Cathedral feels the Trump presidency to be illegal, unconstitutional, and improper. They simply know it is illegal, unconstitutional and improper, but cannot come up with any intelligible or coherent explanation of why – or rather any explanation that they can say out loud.

All the standard rules that you or I should apply in a conflict with Social Justice Warriors apply in a conflict between Trump and the Cathedral: They always lie, they always project, and any apology or concession will excite them to even greater rage. At the slightest sign of concession, they smell blood in the water.

They are not moving towards impeachment because they have found any exciting reasons to support the Russian narrative (Trump supposedly stole the election using the KGB). The real reason they are moving towards impeachment is that Trump bombed, and continues to bomb, Syria, that Trump appointed cuckservatives to the whitehouse staff, who promptly spread lies about him. When he did that, they smelled blood in the water.

Trump cannot appease them. They are unappeasable. He can only deter them. That is the nature of the beast.

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The frog asks, “How do I know you won’t sting me?” The scorpion says, “Because if I do, I will die too.”

The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown, but has just enough time to gasp “Why?”

Replies the scorpion: “Its my nature…”

Because the Cathedral is primarily driven by holiness competition, it is incapable of acting rationally. This is in some ways a strength. The way to win at chicken is to first drink a bottle of vodka, then at the last moment rip out the steering wheel and throw it out the window. Maybe they will succeed in impeaching Trump on the grounds of “cover up”

But it is also a weakness. The likely result is, sooner or later, to blunder into war, state to state, state level civil war, nonstate war, and likely all of the above.

The psychological benefits of protectionism

Sunday, January 29th, 2017

Free trade is good on average, but:

1. Protectionism declares production, which is at present condemned as fascist nazi sin against Gaia, to be righteous and good.  Protectionism strikes at the moral superiority of progs, who think that shutting down factories, mines, and sawmills is inherently virtuous.

2 .  International agreements like the Transpacific Partnership are not free trade, and impair people’s ability to form families and have children, which harms the kind of people that voted for Trump.

3.  Even genuine free trade, even though beneficial on average, hurts some people.  In particular free trade between China and the US tends to equalize worker’s wages between China and the US, which harms the kind of people that voted for Trump.  On the other hand, free trade between Britain and the US is fine for the kind of people who voted for Trump.

When Trump permitted two pipelines, conditional on them using US made steel in US made pipes, the delicious liberal tears flowed – for not only did they consider the pipelines sinful, but they considered US made steel and US made pipes sinful as well.  When Trump added those protectionist conditions to the pipelines, he used the bully pulpit to tell liberals that they were not holy, that producing stuff is right and good.  No matter what the detrimental effects of protectionism on efficiency, the effects of a moral climate that condemns work and production as sinful and illegitimate is a thousand times worse.  When Trump explained his permits to the American people, Trump told the people that a steel mill belching out carbon dioxide is a good thing.

Obviously free trade is good on average.  But international trade agreements that consist of thousands of pages of legalese like the Transpacific Partnership are not free trade.  Rather, they are arrangements to replace local regulation with regulation by “The International Community”.  But distant regulation is necessarily more rigid, inflexible, and out of contact with reality, than local regulation.

Local regulation is corrupt in that you have a beer with a friend, who has a beer with his friend, who arranges that the regulation will be overlooked for you.  Or one of your employees seduces the bureaucrat.  Distant regulation, international regulation, is corrupt in that you hire a team of Harvard lawyers and team of lobbyists, who occupy several towers in Washington and New York City and get to write the regulations that bugger your competitors more severely than they bugger you.  Thus distant regulation, the Transpacific Partnership, inevitably favors giant corporations in major cities, and crushes small businesses in small towns – favors the people who voted against Trump, and crushes the people who voted for Trump.  When Trump dumped the Transpacific Partnership, he took a boot off the throats of the people who voted for him.

Inevitably, international trade agreements like the Transpacific Partnership favor people in the big cities, and hurt people in flyover country, hurt the people who voted for Trump, benefit the people who voted against Trump. So people move from flyover country to the big cities.  And it is hard to marry in big cities, and there is nowhere for the kids.  Women in big cities, like women on international trips, are free from the watchful eyes of friends and family, and tend to fuck around, rendering them unmarriageable.  If you repeatedly reuse stickytape, it stops sticking, and women that fuck too many men become emotionally incapable of bonding to husband and children.  Also, in the big city, hard to know what your wife or girlfriend is doing.  In a small town, your wife will not misbehave, because she knows news will get back to her husband.  Because the big city makes it easier to cheat on your wife or husband, the big city makes it harder for men and women to cooperate to form families.  Notice that most of those women screaming in outrage about Trump grabbing women by the pussy are big city women who are old enough that they are quite safe from the likelihood that Trump might grab them by the pussy, are single, are too old to marry and have children, and are facing what they thoroughly deserve, a lonely and unloved old age.  Again, Trump benefits those who voted for him, and to hell with those who voted against him, to hell with those who are now screaming at him and weeping tasty tears.

Trump denounces the press

Wednesday, January 11th, 2017

“You are fake news”

Trump is able to take on the mass media because he has is own non state power base. He is the Batman’s Bruce Wayne.

But the elephant in the living room is Academia. He has small plans to take on Academia over global warming pseudo science and reluctance to subject vaccines to adequate safety testing, but the biggie is degree deflation, and we have not heard a word about that – yet. Any plans for degree deflation will burn everyone who has spent a fortune on inflated credentials and will be massively misrepresented as plans to deny education to the masses, so that is a tricky one.

What the alt right hopes for from Trump

Friday, November 18th, 2016

Trump has promised to build a wall, deport millions of illegals, and stop people who hate us from migrating here.

Well, that is pretty good, but what we really wish is for Trump to be King and high priest, and his son to be grand inquisitor.

That is a mighty tall order, but it would stand a mighty good chance of curing civilizational decay.

We need him to be King or Emperor, because democracy is against us. We don’t want women and blacks voting. Democracy always tempts politicians to enfranchise or import low information voters that can be bought cheaply, obamaphone voters. Thus in the end, democracy winds up as the government electing a new people

We need him to be god, or high priest, or archbishop, so that there is a clearly defined official doctrine that one can piously believe and thereby be an acceptably good person. At present your company is in violation of affirmative action law unless everyone believes in equality twice as much as everyone else, that woman are just as good as men except that they are better, and any underperformance is due to evil sexist thoughts emitted by males, that blacks are just as good as whites and any underperformance is due to evil racist thoughts emitted by whites. The required holy doctrines are set by activist judges and social justice warriors, and thus escalate endlessly. No piety is safe from being deemed racist next year.

We need a grand inquisitor to rid state and quasi state institutions (courts and universities) of demon worshipers, and anyone who claims to be holier than the King, to shut down the holiness competition whereby every professor, every social justice warrior, and every judge tries to be twice as holy as every other.

Of course Trump is not an alt rightist, despite what the left tells themselves. The alt right is just one of the factions of the Trump coalition, and far from being the largest or most influential, though the fact that the alt right is allowed any legitimacy at all horrifies and outrages the left.

But, though just one faction, and far from the largest, Trump has so far shown no inclination to succumb to the pressure to dump parts of the coalition that brought him to power. Many of us expected that he would, and did not much care so long as he builds the wall, but so far, all seems well. He is holding his coalition together. Trump is loyal to those that are loyal to him, and an enemy to his enemies. And if he sliced off one part of his coalition, leftists would demand even more strongly that he slice off another.

So what are our chances of getting what we want, in addition to the wall and the reduced influx of black military age Muslims screaming for infidel blood and white pussy? What are our chances of getting God Emperor Trump, a fixed and safely unchanging holiness doctrine, and an inquisition to make it stick?

I don’t care if the Holy Trumpian doctrine of the divine Trump says that blacks are angels, and leprechauns exist, provided that next year you don’t have to say they are even better than that.

I rather think we stand a small but significant chance. You will have heard that the Obama/Trump transition is chaos. It is.

The problem however is not with Trump, but with the presidency. The presidency is a worm’s nest. Trump wants to transition the permanent government to doing what he damn well tells them, the permanent government wants to transition the merely temporary government into being their public relations boy as usual. Hence the transition is going extremely badly, indeed it is scarcely going at all.

The permanent government is run by committees that supply or deny people who sit on committees status and power and future career opportunities.

Thus, run by consensus of the most holy synod, no one is responsible, and it is impossible to discover who allocated money or authority for what policy, and difficult to determine what the real policy actually being implemented actually is, since the actual on-the-ground policy is unlikely to correspond to its official description.

This architecture makes it difficult to determine who to fire. Perhaps Trump can save time and mental effort by firing entire committees at once.

This architecture is unfixable, no matter how many political commissars you insert, except by not having stuff run by committees – except by reorganizing the permanent government so that it is responsive to a single will, by having money, power, responsibility and authority flow though clear overt formal official hierarchical channels that appear on an organization chart as a top down tree. As King Charles the first said, “No Bishop, no King”, meaning if no Bishop, then no King.

One can readily foresee that Trump is going to find dealing with a very decentralized organization frustrating and exhausting. He will issue orders and they will sink into the labyrinthine morass without a trace.

Trump being Trump, I think he not only wants to take charge of the Permanent Government, but is likely to do so, which is a revolutionary act for which he will need revolutionaries. Expect the left to set fire to the Reichstag at a convenient moment.

And if we don’t get God Emperor Trump and his holy inquisition, we will say we did and watch the leftists go even crazier.

Don’t worry about Trump policy reversals – yet

Thursday, November 10th, 2016

Trump is reversing himself on pretty much everything. Suddenly he is the cuckservative president.

But remember, he does not formally get power until January, and actually getting his hands on the real levers of power will take at least six weeks after that. He will not really have power until March at the earliest.

The wonderful smirk on his face gives me strong hope that once he has his hands on the levers of power, there will be an April surprise. If we are lucky, a March surprise.

Well, maybe we are all going to be double crossed. We always knew we might all be double crossed. But don’t start the revolution until Trump is in power and rolling. Wait for the Comintern to burn the conveniently unguarded Reichstag, and then we shall see what happens. Then we will know if democratic politics double crosses us every time.

One of the things that give me high hopes is that Trump has been cultivating the praetorians for a long time. Plan for blackshirts, not brownshirts. In his victory speech he pissed on his base, but he did not piss on his praetorians.

A lot of the alt-right has been prepping for brownshirts. Cut it out. The left has the antifa to irregularly beat up real and imagined enemies while police stand around like potted palms, but we are not going to have brownshirts. Rather, once Trump purges the justice department, if Trump purges the justice department, police are going to stop winking at the crimes committed by antifa.

In favor of taking the left on helicopter rides to the Pacific

Thursday, November 10th, 2016

Trump is our leader, and Trump plans to do this in accord with the spirit of the constitution, which is to say, without helicopter rides to the Pacific. Maybe it can be made to work that way, and if can be made to work that way, its our duty to make it work that way.

But the left really are hateful horrible thoroughly nasty people. Notice for example that servants of the Clintons have a remarkable rate of “suicide” and “accidental” death. I rather think therefore it cannot be made to work that way, that helicopter rides are going to be needed. If you allow commies freedom of speech, you wind up without freedom of speech.

There are a lot of highly intelligent really nice people on the left, for example Scott Aaronson and Scott Alexander, who pat themselves on the back about their wonderful commitment to civil discourse and how they quietly disapprove of the worst extremes of Social Justice Warriors. But they refuse to hear anything that anyone to the right of them says, and refuse to engage in in intelligent rational discussion those to the right of them, instead engaging in casual, thoughtless and ignorant demonization. Their niceness manifests as willingness to be literally cuckolded, rather than willingness to notice that the US was backing the genocide the Alawites and the Tutsis, or willingness to engage in intelligent civilized conversation with their intelligent and civilized opponents, because to engage in intelligent civilized conversation with their intelligent and civilized opponents would involve thoughtcrime. There was a time when Scott Alexander would converse to those to his right, but he, and the entire left, have stopped doing so, probably due to the ever expanding definition of thoughtcrime. The entire left has shut down any conversation with the entire right, for fear of thought contamination.

If you will not talk, it is going to be war sooner or later.

If someone just flat refuses to talk to me or talk to anyone like me, he is an enemy. So genuine unironic Nazis are not enemies, merely friends that are mistaken about socialism and the role of Jews. They will talk with me in a civilized rational fashion, so seem unlikely to murder me. Theoretically they will murder Moldbug but they really just do not seem like the kind of people who would murder Moldbug. As soon as someone like Moldbug turns up, I figure they would turn into merely ironic Nazis. But the left will not talk with me except under my moderate prog identities, nor with anyone like me. Not even the high IQ and supposedly moderate and reasonable left, those that think themselves the sane, smart, and moderate left. Which makes resolution of conflicts impossible, and in the long run, war inevitable. In the long run, they are going to wind up unintentionally blundering into trying to kill the people that they have intemperately demonized and will not hear, and the people that they have demonized and that they will not hear will try to kill them.

And, given that war seems inevitable, we would be foolish to start the salami slicer on the unironic nazis. The cuckservative collapse occurred because in an endlessly unsuccessful effort to make themselves acceptable to the left they read one faction after another out of the conservative movement, as racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, whatever, until there was hardly anyone remaining, until the salami slicer had consumed most of the salami.

I recently read how Nixon was supposedly a terrible horrible opponent of affirmative action. In actual fact Nixon enormously expanded affirmative action. He just did not go quite as far in making dissent from affirmative action a crime as some people wanted – which oversight was swiftly remedied by the justice department in a series of consent decrees, wherein employees committing thought crime constitutes proof of discrimination. Affirmative action under Nixon was the salami slicer moving into high gear, and recent events are the salami slicer running short of salami.

Draining the swamp

Wednesday, November 9th, 2016

Trump has promised to drain the swamp.

Then in his acceptance speech, he promised not to drain the swamp.

This is less worrying than it might seem, since when you purge powerful people, you don’t want them to see it coming.

From now till the start of the purge, he is going to be playing his cards very close to his chest. Any predictions made from his behavior between now and the purge will be incorrect, because his behavior between now and the purge will be deceptively moderate. The start of the purge will itself be deceptively moderate. And then he will keep on purging. How far he will go, nobody knows. I don’t know.

I would guess the purge starts in March at the earliest. First he has to get his key people into position. Then suddenly, wham, he gets his enemies out of position.

He has for many years been psychologically preparing the American people for massive firings of the permanent government, which firings the courts will deem illegal, but the public will wonder what the hell the courts are maundering about. These firings will happen when those he is about to fire are least expecting it, when they think they have gotten the upper hand over Trump. And during the first months of a Trump government, it will look as if they have the upper hand over Trump.

There may well be a Reichstag fire moment, when something happens that dramatically symbolizes the resistance of the permanent government to the merely elected government. Expect the newspapers to return to their old form and triumphantly announce how Trump has been decisively and humiliatingly defeated, how his policy is in ruins, because impossible to implement. If, as is likely, they announce that, they are falling into his trap, as when the Comintern set fire to the conveniently unguarded Reichstag.

The big known unknown is how thoroughly he intends to drain the swamp.

What we would like Trump to do is purge the government of traitors, bribe takers, degenerates, people on the revolving door between regulators and regulated, enemies of America, and, of course, Satanists. The Ming Dynasty criminalized sects because of the propensity of sect members to attain political power, such as the Ming dynasty itself. Deem membership of a sect that does weird stuff moral turpitude. Then fix numerous consent judgments organized by the Justice Department that make political dissent a violation of the affirmative action laws. Generate a precedent that disparate impact is legal, and unambiguously legalize domain specific IQ tests of the Fizzbuzz type or domain appropriate physical tests of the Marine pull up type. If only 0.1% of female and black applicants pass your company’s Fizzbuzz, you should have a cast iron defense against discrimination charges, even if search of your emails reveal engineers saying hateful things about women and blacks. Generate the legal precedent that evidence of political dissent cannot be presented as evidence of discrimination, and may not be presented in court because it merely prejudices the judgment. Then reverse the degree inflation that forces ever increasing numbers of students to spend ever increasing time in educational institutions that do not educate but merely indoctrinate. then confiscate the endowments, burn Harvard to the ground and salt the earth where it stood. Or redevelop Harvard into shops, offices, and hotels, which is more Trump’s style.

And, of course, use state power over cable and broadcast television to encourage the companies to fire Colbert and replace him with someone with an actual sense of humor and willingness to puncture actual sacred cows, like Pax Dickinson.

But before he gets to making Saturday Night Live funny again, has to get to redevelop Harvard into shops, condos, hotels, and offices.

Currently we have an elaborate system where committees give grants to people who are on committees. This renders power and funding untraceable and difficult to control. To drain the swamp, has to run government money through a direct hierarchy operating on das Führerprinzip.

So the Dean of a university should be appointed by the board, the Dean should have the power to hire and fire professors, and all academic funding should go through university, which is to say through the dean. If the Pentagon wants a professor at MIT to research something, it should pay MIT, not the professor.

We should abolish tenure. Tenure was supposed to make professors proudly independent and capable of dissent, but instead every single academic at every single institution grovels. When the line changes, every professor changes his position and instantly forgets that the line was different yesterday. The line emerges from an amorphous mass of committees, obscuring who has power and who makes decisions.

Outside funding of academics should be seen as corrupting. Would Steve Jobs be happy if one of his executives received large payments from a committee containing people connected to a competing company? All funding should go directly through the board and Dean/CEO.

And when we have replaced hidden lines of authority with direct lines of authority, on das Führerprinzip, we can then hold those with that authority responsible for what they do with it.

After getting rid of committees and outside funding, which hides who has power and who makes decisions, then and only then can we purge academia.

That is what is needed to stop Cthulhu from always swimming left, that is what is needed to make Saturday Night Live funny again. Whether Trump is up to go all the way with this program is, of course, the big known unknown.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth

Trump’s final ads say “The political establishment has bled this country dry”, and Jews hear “Jews have bled this country dry”

That said, the political establishment are the people in the Podesta emails, who are disproportionately Jewish, but are not mostly Jewish, and most Jews don’t get to email Podesta.

Most of the the screen time in Trump’s recent ad is occupied by non Jewish figures representing the political establishment, in roughly similar proportion as Jews and non Jews are represented in the Podesta emails. Jews doing bad things are overrepresented in the Trump ads to roughly the same extent as in the Podesta emails, in real life, Jews doing bad things are over represented in the political establishment.

There are three Jewish villains and considerably more than three non Jewish villains in Trump’s ad, roughly the same proportion as appear in the Podesta emails.

One of the figures who briefly flash up in his ad is (((George Soros))), whose business model consists of buying worthless debt from insolvent third world governments, and then having the World Bank, also known as the US tax payer, restore the debt to its face value. If that is not bleeding this country, what is?

Trump could have used Jon Corzine instead of George Soros, but Soros is better known, perhaps because he is Jewish, but mostly because he has stolen more money and done more bad things than Jon Corzine, not only stolen much more money, but also overthrown various governments in the service of the state department, for example the government of the Ukraine, and attempted to overthrow of several more, for example the government of Hong Kong. For all his many faults, Jon Corzine has not overthrown any governments, though maybe he helped keep a government in power that should have been overthrown.

Trump uses the (((CEO of Goldman Sachs))) to illustrate “pockets of a handful of large corporation”. Goldman Sachs was the biggest unpunished recipient of bailout money in the recent financial crisis. Other institutions received more bailout money, but were punished by re-orgs that removed the worst offenders from power. Trump could have used Angelo Mozilo, who cost ordinary Americans far more than Goldman Sachs, but Mozilo was removed from power and had some of his ill gotten gains confiscated. Blankfein, Soros and Clinton are in each other’s pockets today, while no one admits that they used to be friends of Angelo not so very long ago. Maybe Goldman Sachs is notorious in substantial part because they are Jewish recipients of bailout money – but also because demonstrably more powerful than any of the other recipients of large amounts of bailout money.

If Jews are overrepresented among the readily identifiable people in the Trump ad, that is because a few Jews made themselves readily identifiable by committing enormous crimes with the blessing of the political establishment, and possessing vast power and wealth despite vast unpunished crimes. If you want an image to illustrate “Those who control the levers of power in Washington”, who would be a better image than George Soros? If you want an image to illustrate money going into the “pockets of a handful of large corporation”, who would be a better image than the CEO Goldman Sachs? Yes more money was spent to bail out Countrywide bank than to bail out Goldman Sachs, but the (((CEO of Goldman Sachs))) is still in the Clinton circle, whereas the former CEO of Countrywide, while still rich, has been unpersoned.

I suppose that Trump could have left out (((the Federal Reserve Chairwoman))), and arguably should have, but it is notorious that the Fed is intentionally causing asset inflation and blowing asset bubbles, which is an economic policy that favors the very rich at the expense of the middle class.

Trumpslide

Monday, October 31st, 2016

Voter turnout is massive. You don’t get massive turnout like this to vote for the status quo. If Hillary wins, it will only be by equally massive election fraud. As Stalin said:

“I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how.”

Poll results are based on the theory that white turnout will be about the same as it was when both parties supported the ethnic cleansing of whites from certain areas, black attacks on whites on the basis of race, and the continual denigration and demonization of whites, and that male turnout will be about the same as it was when both parties supported rape hysteria and an epidemic of false rape accusations, the criminalization of fatherhood, the replacement of fatherhood with child support, brutal, draconian, and extraordinary methods of enforcing child support, and the systematic biased denial of credentials to males in a hostile and angry education system that is more interested in teaching them that masculinity is toxic and oppresses women than interested in genuine education.

I expect that the massive turnout reflects massively higher white voting and male voting.

Failing massive electoral fraud, expect a last gasp effort to deny him office by means of the electoral college, followed by a widespread government policy of paying even less attention to president Trump than they have been paying to president Obama.

Normally I recommend and practice non participation in democratic politics. It is a spectacle and a delusion. But this is the Flight 93 election. Vote early, vote often, and should opportunity permit it to be done safely, physically attack likely Hillary voters near polling booths.

Normally in an election, there is not much at stake, so peace is better than war. In this election, too much is at stake for anyone, left or right, to accept the decision of a majority of the voters. The election will not immediately lead to civil war, regardless of fraud or outcome, the time is not quite yet, but it will move us markedly closer to the time for war. The stakes get higher every election. The results of this election, and probably all future US elections, will not be quietly and routinely accepted by the losing side.

Trump for King

Tuesday, May 31st, 2016

This image, and this entire blog is licensed under the Creative
Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License

This is an outline of how President Trump might well become King Trump the first, if we are sufficiently lucky and virtuous.

The world is sick of anarcho tyranny, and hungers unknowingly for the power and authority of Kings.

The recent election of Duterte, on a platform of his praetorians simply killing the bad guys out of hand without charges or trials, is an example of this hunger.

Now I hear some of you saying (and the progressives thinking but not saying out loud) that apart from being tough on crime, corruption, and governmental indiscipline, Duterte is a leftist and that is just a bunch of rice niggers, low IQ south Asians. White people are more civilized than that – perhaps a little too civilized for our own good.

In Australia, one of the whitest countries remaining, a few elections back, the election was on the issue of illegal immigration. Tony Abbott said he would stop illegal immigration.

The judges, of course, ruled stopping illegal immigration illegal. Tony Abbott ignored the judges. The net effect is that today, if you violate immigration law they send you to jail in Villawood detention center without bothering with charges or trials. From time to time the left whines about due process, and gets absolutely zero traction. Suddenly it was revealed that there is zero support for due process, that there are almost no voters who care about due process any more. And in particular and especially very few white voters who care about due process.

The purpose of due process was supposedly to ensure that the innocent do not go to jail, and the guilty do go to jail. But anarcho tyranny means that with so many laws, the innocent are bound to be guilty of something or other, while actual criminals are deemed the oppressed, and are coddled and protected by the state. Due process lets real criminals loose, mostly dark skinned real criminals who prey on white people, while imposing enormous and impossible legal costs on innocent middle class honest respectable people. For middle class people, due process is just the government’s way of punishing you when it cannot be bothered finding a crime to convict you of, even though with so many laws you have undoubtedly committed more crimes than you can shake a stick at.

White people just don’t like due process any more, for much the same reasons as Filipinos rejected it.

So in our current environment due process and judicial review is discredited, and lacks political support. In Tony Abbot’s Australia as much as in Duterte’s Philippines, it was suddenly and startlingly revealed that judges are simply all out of moral authority. No one cares about due process, because, under anarcho tyranny, there is no reason why they should care. It is not just a tiny handful of reactionary intellectuals thinking like this. It is pretty much everyone.

The point of due process was to prevent the King from treating repectable decent people like criminals. But now that we are all treated like criminals, people just don’t care.

Power divided can be power reduced. If the benevolent party controls all the food, or ninety nine percent of the food, as in communist China, today’s Venezuela, or Allende’s Chile, then you are toast. The result is at best severe oppression as in Venezuela, at worst mass murder on an enormous scale, as in China.

If however ninety nine percent of the food is controlled by ninety nine members of the one percent each of whom controls one percent of the food, then no problem. In this case, power divided is power reduced.

But if you need ninety nine approvals by ninety nine bureaucrats to build a house, you are more than ninety nine times as oppressed than if you need the approval of one bureaucrat, because you face a coordination problem between bureaucrats.

With one bureaucrat, you could hope to pay him off, formally or informally, by giving his bagman/consultant, say, a third of the surplus value you create by building the house. With ninety nine bureaucrats, they each want ten percent, so you just cannot build the house.

In this case, power divided is power increased, enormously increased. This enormous multiplication of oppressive power is another aspect of anarcho tyranny that leads people to hunger for the power of kings, they hunger for one man who could say “give me half the surplus value and build it” and who would tell the other ninety eight bureaucrats to take a long walk off a short pier. They hunger for a Duterte who would shoot the other ninety eight bureacrats behind a shed.

America’s smartest member of the ruling progressive elite tells us:

Investigating the reasons behind the bridge blunders have helped to illuminate an aspect of American sclerosis — a gaggle of regulators and veto players, each with the power to block or to delay, and each with their own parochial concerns. All the actors — the historical commission, the contractor, the environmental agencies, the advocacy groups, the state transportation department — are reasonable in their own terms, but the final result is wildly unreasonable.

Larry the prog worries that regulation, a multiplicity of veto players, makes government inefficient, and therefore unpopular, worries that he cannot get the bridge he needs to go to and from Harvard, and fails to see the glaringly obvious, that regulation makes the private sector inefficient.

I, too, have had to deal with a multiplicity of veto players, each with his bagman collecting his bribe.

And I do not believe that any of them were reasonable. That is just Larry the prog issuing the required pieties. All of them deserve to be shot. All of them were evil, corrupt, and insane.

Larry is pissed because his commute to Harvard is obstructed, blissfully unaware that Americans further from the seat of power suffer from the anarchy of government far more severely than he does.

In America, the presidency has gathered to itself enormous power, intervening in every small business, every household.

Husbands are thrown out of their houses, fathers torn from their children, thanks to the Department of Justice, which is theoretically answerable to the president. Women with husbands tend to vote Republican. Children with fathers tend to vote Republican. If the Depart of Justice has its way no woman will have a husband, nor any child a father.

Similarly the department of Justice arranged for white people to be burned out of Ferguson, forbidding the Ferguson police from protecting people and property, and forbidding collective self defense against collective aggression.

But the presidency is not the president. It is an enormous horde of bureaucrats that are theoretically supposed to obey the president, but which the president cannot fire, which results in anarcho tyranny. If the president could fire them, this would enormously increase the power of the president, but enormously decrease the power of the presidency, because one would be merely subject to one tyrant, instead of ninety nine tyrants.

In practice, the bureaucrats tend to treat the president as their public relations boy, rather than their boss. And if he fails to run good PR for what they have already decided to do they will smack him around the ears in the pages of the New York Times.

The bureaucrats are answerable to the consensus of their fellow bureaucrats, they have to be a square peg in a square hole, but the consensus is controlled by the consensus of the Ivies, and the consensus of the Ivies is controlled by the consensus of Harvard.

And as we have seen Harvard does not much like Trump, and to judge from his list of Supreme Court judicial candidates, Trump does not much like Harvard.

For Trump to rule, for Trump to accomplish any of his goals, the president has to subjugate the presidency, a process that will inevitably require massive firings, and some actual violence against those who decline to be fired. Quite possibly some Duterte style sudden violent deaths that no one is inclined to investigate because everyone knows what an honest investigation would reveal.

Trump will need to get rid of some turbulent priests.

The president’s power is so very great as to diminish the power and effectiveness of democracy thus we see a tendency to dynasties – the attempted Kennedy dynasty, the attempted Clinton dynasty, and the Bush dynasty.

An enormous increase in the power of the president, which will happen if Trump succeeds in firing those bureaucrats who do not obey him, would pretty much guarantee dynastic rule. Trump would govern for eight years, then be succeeded by his sons.

So we would have a system that was nominally democratic, but actually hereditary and monarchic. Such a difference between actual and formal power is necessarily corrupting and destructive, because such government operates by lies. To remedy this corruption, one of Trump’s sons would have to declare himself King Trump the third, and his predecessors King Trump the first and King Trump the second.

So for Trump to become King in substance, and eventually King in name, he has to seize the power to fire the fireproof.

Which, given that he has support from the military, the praetorians, the cops, the rentacops, and the mercenaries, and that judges do not have much support from anyone, is quite doable.

If Trump says “You are fired”, and security frog marches the offending presidency bureaucrat out of the building and does not let him back in, has that bureaucrat not been fired?

If HR attempts to keep paying the bureaucrat, apply the same measure to HR. If judges rule the firing illegal, do like Abbot and Duterte, and tell the judges to take a long walk off a short pier.

Thus could Trump exercise the power of Kings.

And if he wants to build a wall and deport anchor babies, that is what he needs to do, he needs to exercise the power of a King, for otherwise the presidency will not permit the president to act.

And if Trump exercises the power of Kings and does so competently and bravely, if he is worthy to exercise such power, Kings shall in due course ensue. I will then apply for the job of Grand Inquisitor when the time is right.
