Radish nails libertarianism’s race problem

Monday, September 2nd, 2013

Libertarianism had its one brief shining day in power in alliance with the anti racist, anti slavery brigade, was swiftly kicked out of that alliance, and has been beaten over the head with race stick ever since, despite endlessly begging to be allowed to renew the alliance.

Since then, the only times it has ever gotten anywhere is in alliance with the “racist”, aka white, faction.

I predict no riots in Seminole County

Sunday, July 14th, 2013

The press have been calling on blacks to riot in the event of a Zimmerman acquittal

Assorted black leaders have been calling on blacks to riot in the event of a Zimmerman acquittal.

We have a full Zimmerman acquittal, somewhat to my surprise, since I expected an all female jury to do whatever the judge signals she wants them to do, which in this case was to convict Zimmerman of a lesser charge.

The sheriff of Seminole county, where the incident and the acquittal happened,  says rioting will not be tolerated.

Black riots are astroturf.  Always have been, always will be. Every black riot happens when the authorities give a wink that rioting will be tolerated.

If a riot happens, and the Sheriff follows through with his promise that rioting will not be tolerated, then I will be proven wrong.  Even if the riot was swiftly squelched, indeed especially if it was swiftly squelched, we would know that blacks had rioted on their own initiative, rather than as directed, which would show that black riots are not necessarily astroturf.

If a riot happens and the Sheriff fails to follow through, then we may conclude he said one thing in public and another thing in private to community organizers.  Such an outcome would not prove me wrong.  However I am pretty sure he is not kidding, for he called on businesses to remain open, which is code for “call up every rentacop”.

All your skypes belong to Microsoft

All Your Skype Are Belong To Us

Microsoft is reading everything you write

Skype used to be the most secure instant messaging system and I have frequently recommended it on this basis. Microsoft, under Bill Gates, used to be the big company most willing to protect user’s privacy. Skype was recently purchased by Microsoft.

Heise Security then reproduced the events by sending two test HTTPS URLs, one containing login information and one pointing to a private cloud-based file-sharing service. A few hours after their Skype messages, they observed the following in the server log:

65.52.100.214 – – [30/Apr/2013:19:28:32 +0200]
“HEAD /…/login.html?user=tbtest&password=geheim HTTP/1.1”

… In visiting these pages, Microsoft made use of both the login information and the specially created URL for a private cloud-based file-sharing service.

Guns, murder, and race

Monday, January 7th, 2013

Stolen from the comment section of Steve Sailer’s excellent blog.

Someone who wishes to remain anonymous has assembled data showing that American whites murder at about the same rate as whites in countries with strict gun control, American “Hispanics” murder at about the same rate as they do in their native countries, which generally have strict gun control, and that American blacks murder at about the same rate as blacks do world wide, mostly in countries with strict gun control.

The main factor by far in homicide rates is race. (more…)

Moldbug’s mission completed

Saturday, December 1st, 2012

Moldbug has a new post of substance, but not a whole lot of substance.

That a significant proportion of votes are fraudulent, disproportionately in the most critical states, such as Ohio, and everyone piously turns a blind eye to voter fraud on a scale that makes the difference between one presidential candidate winning, and another winning, is interesting in that everyone turns a blind eye. Democracy is now so dead that it is impolite to pay attention.

It is not interesting in that even honest elections would not produce results markedly different.  (more…)

Leftwards with John Corzine

Friday, November 30th, 2012

Urban Future tells us:

When the Right attains power, it is by becoming something other than itself, betraying its partisans not only incidentally and peripherally, through timidity or incompetence, but centrally and fundamentally, by practically advancing an agenda that almost perfectly negates its supposed ideological commitments. It builds that which it had promised to destroy, and further enthralls that which it had promised to liberate. Its victories mean ever less, its defeats ever more. To win is at most a lesser evil, whilst to lose opens new, unprecedented horizons of calamity, initiating previously unimagined adventures in horror.

The left theoretically wants equality, but, predictably, its unending victories cause ever more extreme and brutal inequality, as socialism somehow strangely manifests as crony capitalism. Soak the rich – except, of course, for friends of Obama. The ensuing social injustice results in louder cries to soak the rich. (more…)

The median voter

Sunday, November 25th, 2012

Heartiste’s usually wise, insightful, and excellent blog has a pile of silly advice: What A Future American Right Party Can Do To Win

A future American right party cannot win.  You win by winning over the median voter, or, equivalently, the modal swinging voter.

The median voter or modal swinging voter in this election was someone who is single, fatherless, partly on welfare, if female a slut, if male frequently a minor criminal belonging to protected minority.   A party that appeals to white sluts on welfare and non white criminals on welfare is not likely to be terribly right wing.

The end state of democracy is that you get 51% of the voters living on their votes and lashing out at the productive more and more cruelly.

The end state of the left wing singularity is infinite leftism in finite time, as an ever more pious priesthood ignores democracy to impose ever more brutally left policies.  (more…)

How to fire big bird

Tuesday, October 9th, 2012

Romney has promised to defund the Public Broadcasting System.

Reagan promised to defund the left, and did not seriously try it. If Reagan did not, what chance Romney? But if Romney is serious about it, which I doubt, here is how to do it:

The Public Broadcasting System is, in large part, half a billion dollars paying media people to be left wing, which includes paying them to be nasty to Republicans in general and Romney in particular. If you are going to defund the Public Broadcasting System, might as well defund the other key major left wing institutions: the State Department, the Justice Department, the Department of Education, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Harvard. You will have the same sized conflict either way. Theoretically this is a straightforward application of financial power of congress, but in actual practice, will be more like a military coup. The Romney/Obama middle east policy

Saturday, October 6th, 2012

The major problem with Obama’s policy is that it is a progressive policy. By being nice to our enemies, and hateful to our friends, our enemies will supposedly come to love us. This policy has been tried from time to time over the last several thousand years, particularly by Christians towards Muslims over the last thousand years, with entirely predictable results. Though doubtless sincerely believed, it has in practice a suspicious resemblance to the elite selling out their subjects to their enemies, has a suspicious resemblance to the far against near alliance so characteristic of leftism, wherein the rulers, in pursuit of power over the ruled, destroy the polity that they rule.
